| Wieboldt Hall, built in
the 1920s, was renovated and expanded to create new facilities for the
Kellogg Graduate School of Management on Northwestern University’s
downtown campus. The School has its own image on the campus for the
first time by virtue of a five-story addition facing Superior Street.
The addition houses classrooms and a large study area. Substantial
improvements were made to the existing building systems to bring them up
to code.
An important part of the project was implementation planning, since the building
was in use more than 12 hours each day over the entire year. Construction was implemented over a 15-month period without significant disruption of the occupants.
