| The Transportation Center of
Northwestern University enjoys a very high national reputation.
The new Center building allows the consolidation of all of the program’s
various functions for faculty, students, visitors and staff under
the same roof. Located prominently at the intersection of Foster Street and Sheridan Road in Evanston, the program’s exposure and reputation are enhanced by the building’s siting across the street from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management. With its warm colored brick facade and dormered roof, the architecture of the new building gives the Center an institutional presence, while mediating in scale and detail between the neighboring residential structures on the west side of Sheridan Road and the larger-scale institutional buildings across the street. DLK was the Architect
of Record and was responsible for full services from programming
and design through construction. |
