DLK was engaged by the Village of Mount Prospect to examine potential development patterns on a block of the Central Business District possessing some of the older buildings in the Village. DLK prepared a series of massing studies illustrating a variety of development scenarios including preservation and infill, corner public green space and a series of development proposals of differing densities.

Landscape The Village of Mount Prospect is committed to enhancing the transit-oriented development nature of the Central Business District, yet is concerned about the loss of historic and memorable buildings. The massing studies were deemed an effective way to gather input from staff and elected officials in order to determine the next steps which will involve community input in addition to increasingly detailed planning efforts.
