| Conway Farms is a 400 acre
property developed as a planned open space community on the site
of a former agricultural farm. DLK assisted the Conway Farms Partnership
in developing Architectural Design and Landscape Guidelines for
the purpose of regulating well designed and properly sited building
forms. The Guidelines incorporate the local building codes and expound
upon a vocabulary of construction with illustrations describing
the appropriate use of building materials, proportions, components
and details.
In addition to framing aesthetic parameters for proposed designs,
the guidelines also require the submission of plans by design-build
contractors to the Conway Farms Architectural Review Board at
various stages of completion for consideration.
